Look for information on what checks, physical and documentation, a Building Control Inspector will make on a New Build with a Air Source Heat Pump (ground mounted heat pump, unvented cylinder, storage unit, buffer tank and underfloor heating? See attached image for a general overview)

I was hoping for some practical information such as, Local Building Control Certificate or pipes from ashp to hot water storage are insulated, etc

None.

Builders will use private inspectors who will look at a one properly prepared example of a house, and then assume the other 200 are all perfect in every way.
In the worst cases it's just sling money at someone who provides the necessary pile of papers.
