Is there such thing, I couldn't find anything in google/ebay ?

I know you can't block them for a number of reasons, but the one I have in the living room produces quite a lot of cold air drought and the wall radiators obviously do not help much to heat the floor. I was thinking of installing something that will heat the air coming in from the air vent, any ideas ? Thanks

I think even some type of heater may obstruct the flow of air which is needed for your flueless gas fire so I would think not.

So what do people normally do in this situation? It is -10 outside and I have to wear two pairs of socks and fluffy slippers, surely it is not normal. It is on the wall opposite to our gas fireplace, so the air drifts through the whole living room even when there is a sofa on the way.

Is your fire flueless? Or is oit over 7Kw. I sometimes come across vents that have been fitted for a BBU, but are no longer needed. DO NOT block without propoer advice

The problem with draughty vents is siting. It is sometimes a challenge, but consideration should be given to general wind direction, and the nuisance factor in the room, So (for flued fires) generally try to take the shortest route (within parameters), and try to site behind permanently sited large furniture, being careful not to restrict.

The arrestair-pro vent is not infallible, but may be worth trying before resiting
