Air vent?

Hello. Just a quick question. I had an open fireplace taken out and sealed off with plasterboard. Got the chimney sweeped and capped prior to this but I was told that I will need a little vent to avoid damp. My question is how do I screw a vent into the wall if it is plasterboard ie there is nothing for the screws to go in to? I have attached a picture. Thanks!

You can drill a hole in the plasterboard with a wood/metal drill and push in a rawlplug nice and tight. That will hold the screws through the vent . Also you can put a bead of painter's caulk on the back so it sticks the vent and wipe it off @ the front with a damp sponge.
