Air vents in bedroom?

Hi, We bought a house last year and finally I am now upsatirs decorating.

On stripping the fitted wardrobes in bedroom 1, I have found 3 air vents. There was a 'slight' bit of damp next to one but just wondered if 3 or any at all in one standard sized bedroom is neccassary?

The more ventilation you have the less mould and condensation you suffer, never seal them.
