Hi - first post. Looking for a bit of urgent advice.

Airbag warning light has just started to stay on after starting up.

Handbook obviously says stop and get in touch with Fiat dealer.

Questions:

1) Any quick fixes?

2) If I continue to drive is there a possibility of the thing going off?

3) The airbag system is protected by a fuse (which only protects this circuit) - if I were to temporarily remove it would I render the airbag inactive?

I know I'll have to get it looked at asap but I need to drive about 30 miles this evening.

Any quick responses gratefully received.

hi, if the warning light is on then the air bag should not go off, it probably won't go off even in a crash. Have you looked under the seat & checked the plug is still together, maybe unplug it & plug it back in, do that on both front seats, I have had this problem on a Mondeo & a Peugot and the plugs have come loose on the drivers seat with it being moved back & forth when i drive or my wife, hope this is of help :!:
