I have a sink which does not empty upstairs .
The waste pipe is horizontal with a 2m fall . It goes vertical for 3m then goes horizontal with a fall on it 3m with a tee half way along to another basin then it drops into a saniflo,
The second basin empties fine but the upstairs one takes 5 minutes to empty unless I undo the waste pipe connection from the downstairs basin thus letting air either escape or be pulled into the system ,
Would an aav valve help or will an anti vac trap on the downstairs basin do the same job ?
