Hi all,

I've recently acquired an alarm control panel with some PIR sensors, but I don't have a bellbox. The control panel manual (which I downloaded off the internet) is not very useful.

Basically, I need to purchase a (hopefully cheap) bellbox.

The control panel has two wires for connecting a bellbox. I connected up my multimeter, and this is the results:
1. When the alarm is not going off, 0 volts is provided.
2. When the "panic" button is pressed, 8.5 volts dc runs through these wires (one -ve and one +ve).

I don't really know much about alarms; I'm *guessing* this means the bellbox would have power provided from a separate PSU, and would be triggered by receiving 8.5 (9?) volts.

Any help on finding a suitable bellbox would be greatly appreciated (don't need battery backup or anything, just a quick and easy solution :))

Thanks very much
Shockfire.

Hi,

It's model number is AST-2008D. It also says "Shenzhen" on the back, guessing that's the manufacturer.

Thanks,
Shockfire.

Any chance of pictures of the inside/outside of the panel?

Not really up on Chinese alarms but might be able to help with further info.

What about pics of the relevant manual page as well?

most control panels use a negative bell trigger ie instead of sending a poss supply when the alarm triggers it sends a neg and the poss is always pressent. hope this helps
