very neat solution if you cannot connect a WC pan to a stack. But bear in mind that you also have to connect to 240v mains supply, you need to ensure that only the right kind of waste goes into the pan (even hair can jam macerators) and if it does get jammed then you have to call a service engineer (unless you fancy opening up a box full of chopped up sh*t and tissue !
Arent you only able to install a macerator only if you have a normal flushing toilet ?. I am sure we have covered this in our theory work this term. I might be wrong though !
Macerators which are accessible are designed in the pit of hell. A concealed one is Beelzebub himself. Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
When we stayed in a holliday cottage in Wales we had to find a different bush in the adjacent field every day. I would rather that system to a saniflow.
Asside from that get a commode and pour the contents down the one normal outlet wc you must have in a dwelling nowadays.
You think I'm joaking? Not one bit. Macerator is a very big no no.
When I was a kid I went with my Dad (a GP) on his visits. every old person had a potty under the bead.
The world has gone mad. I blaim makeover programs.
to welshmans question. yes you have to have a main toilet in a dwelling before fittin a macerator.as for that type of all in one macerator i like the idea, but as paul says when these thing go wrong they go wrong.

Stayed in a B&B with a macerator in the en-suite. After a night on the guinness I was remarkably worried and had to flush about 4 times for it to shift anything... not an easy task when you consider the noise they make, I was sure the floorboards were going to come up.
