Hello,

I've just hung a pair of internal french doors in my new stud wall with a bit of tweaking and swearing, and they are almost perfect. I am using three small 76x76mm projection hinges on each door so that they can swing 180 degrees and clear the architrave and skirting.

Only problem is the doors are not quite in line with each other when closed, i.e. they touch at the bottom, but one door is abour 10mm proud at the top. See pics for details, sorry they are on their side but you get the idea.

What do I need to do to the hinges in the frame to sort this out? On the problem door (the left one in the photos) I've already packed behind the top one, and the bottom one has ended up being pulled forward into the room about 6mm out of its slot. I'm not quite sure where to go from here, and dont want to start hacking bits off only for it to have no effect.

Any suggestions? Cheers.

Either your frame jambs are out of wind i.e. not vertical in relation to each other or the doors are twisted, either put twist into the frame by refixing it to the stud work or do it with the hinges although with them already being chopped in it would look an eyesore, best do it with the frame
