I’m looking to patch repair some cracks and holes in an old solid wall.
I recall being told not to use a Gypsum based filler as it would attract water /damp.

On other walls I’m using ‘Gyproc Easyfill’ - but it’s Gypsum based.
I’d be very grateful for a recommended alternative.

Thanks in advance,

D

Confess - I don’t really know.
The wall is soft red with a (cinder ?) block internal - the gap is maybe an inch at best but it’s breached with mortar / debris.
The wall is very cold and behaves like a solid wall.

There is a traditional looking render and skim - how would I identify what type it is ?

Looks I have some lime in the render and maybe the top coat skim too.
