Alternatives to Hammerite

Have used Hammerite in the past for exterior metalwork and know it's good gear.

However, now need to re-do all my pipework and wondered if there were any alternative products which experts would recommend.

If Hammerite is the answer then so be it but it costs a few bob and I have lots of pipework!

Any advice greatly appreciated.

gloss oil paint is better, cheaper and easier to recoat.

Use a "metal preservative primer"
