Altro is normally installed fully stuck down on a screeded sub floor using a hot weld gun to seam the joints.

Hot weld kits can be bought from specialist suppliers £370-£450 plusVAT which should give you the tools you need to do the job.

It is not really a diy job and is one best left to an experienced installer - many a floor has been ruined with weld guns set to too high a temperature.

If you are going to be doing a number of these installations there are training courses available but if it is just a one-off I would think the cost of tools would make getting an experienced installer a better option.

Hope this helps.
