Anyone have any electrical stories they still feel bad about.

1,As an apprentice I was asked to foot the ladder to fit a light only about 8 foot high, I thought waste of time and thought no more about it, next minute the ladder slipped and the bloke was on the floor.

2, working with a bloke tracing a live to earth fault tripping mcb and when he meggared the pyro one core was down to earth, he said **** it and used the shorted core as neutral.

Do things you know are wrong, which you haven't fixed yet because you'll fix them when you <do whatever> count?

I made the mistake of hitting the test button on an RCD socket that my RCD tester had just flashed up >300ms on to see if the mechanism worked at all... it then started buzzing and wouldn't stop and I ended up having to disconnect it
