Could someone explain what the difference in these two products is? (I know they are from different product lines but can't seem to find a comparison anywhere). I assume the Acoustic is a slightly better product as it has a longer guarantee but is it called Acoustic for some random reason or is there more to it?

Rhinofloor Gold

Rhinofloor Acoustic

It's for use in a bathroom.

Rhino are buggers for this....

....they will copy the same design, charge more, but give you a longer guarantee.

In a domestic situation you will do well to notice any difference whatso ever,

therefore.....

....buy the cheapest!

Here's the response I had from Armstrong:

34008 Popular Choice Golds, has a overall gauge of 2.5mm with a wear layer
of 0.2mm - Wear Warranty of 7 years
39097 Acoustic, has an overall gauge of 3mm with a wear layer of 0.35mm -
Acoustic rating of 21db - Wear Warranty of 15 years

Both products are suitable for use in a domestic/residential kitchen,
Acoustic is the better quality structure and has the added benefit of the
acoustic rating which basically means it has the ability to reduce sound
impact by 21 db.

Might end up going for the acoustic as the bathroom is very echoey as it has four walls tiled floor to ceiling.

If you really have that much spare money to burn....

To be honest there isn't that much difference in prices we have been quoted - the acoustic stuff is less than £3 a square meter more than the standard stuff and we are only talking about 6 square meters ;)
