And another one..

Nevertheless, I do feel government needs to sort the migrant issue out. And, for me, that would mean stopping the boats and ensuring our entrance criteria for migrants to remain is a lot more stringent

Stopping the boats is difficult, nobody has any quick solution including Reform..

It’s an international problem that requires international collaboration but no country wants to do that, it’s politically toxic.

It’s possible the EU could make changes to ECHR and make new policies like stopping migrants getting to Lampedusa and other entry points

So will you answer or just deflect?

How could it be done

1. Decide who is to be deported - I'd say all those who have come here since Blair.
2. Declare an emergency, all normal rules suspended, martial law etc in force. Any dissenters, immigration lawyers and campaigners, protesters, ugly women with blue hair and other left-wing types locked up for the duration.
3. Stop all payments of public money and services to those chosen to be deported, cut off their electric, gas, water. Switch off entire streets if necessary. At this point many will 'self deport'.
4. Those that will not go to be rounded up and held in camps or ships with minimal sustenance until they decide to self deport.
5. Channel (and any other waters deemed to be a problem) to be declared exclusion zones and patrolled by navy and airforce, any invading boats to be sunk, after being given a fair warning to turn back that has been ignored.
6. Any troublecausers to be dealt with severely. Military help to be requested from Trump if necessary, he wants a stable Europe.
7. Repeat in all other affected European countries.

Have another go when you wake up then.

Just a dreamer. No wonder you jump on the reform wagon

Reform doesn’t have any solutions…other than paying the Taliban £millions
Ok this is only one Scottish council seat, however it's one Reform didn't expect to win.

It'll be interesting to see how Reform do in our elections next year. I can't call it one way or the other however I wouldn't be surprised if they exceed even their own expectations.

To your point, whether referring to Scotland or the wider UK, this is partly why I'd like them to get in. And yes, I appreciate it could be a case of 'be careful what you wish for.'

At present, they're telling us they do have solutions. If they gain power, it's then up to them to deliver. If nothing else, it would be very interesting to see how it plays out.

Reform wins first by-election in Scotland

David McLennan has been elected as a councillor in West Lothian, taking the seat from Scottish Labour.

Farage got quite nastily attacked on a visit to Edinburgh a few years ago, and from what I have heard the Scottish in general don't like him, so this win for Reform is a nice surprise, maybe a turn in fortunes. Good luck to them.

The current Labour government promised all sorts of good things, and then when in power, abandoned those promises and instead ruthlessly imposed its own far-left agenda, as any sensible person could have predicted. Let's hope Reform have some good hidden agendas.
