How do you vet someone though?

Vet them for terrorist links and any criminal background checks is the first step to our safety. For all we know he may have done this in his own country. You have to do the checks before allowing them to wonder around freely.

Take them from the RNLI boat. Walk them up the beach. Show them their tent, portaloo, bottled water store and microwave meals. All in an enclosed area. Explain the 2 year typical time for processing and tell them we are happy to provide them with comparable accommodation to where they came from, which was provided by France who adhere to the ECHR rules as we do. Give it a couple of weeks till word properly gets back and watch the problem stop.

Just a shame that brexit stopped criminal data sharing with the EU after brexit then...

Given the scope of a 30 country wide database with links to many territories, that's a big loss...

We still do share data through Interpol and Europol.
