Android word processing app

I am used to MSWord on my desktop, which is now out of action, and I am using a Samsung tablet.

Never having thought about it, I assumed it would have a text or word processing app.

Is there a free one I can get?

I think my mobile uses GoogleDocs, though I've never used it for editing (I use a PC for that) but having just opened something now to see, it looks like it would work OK.

I found something called "Notes" on it.

Rather basic.
