Another 5 day DI wonder!!

Did not get any pictures but went to a house today. Everywhere I looked there were bad things going on... :cry:

Bear in mind this is a house where an NICEIC DI has been working very recently and all circuits are energised.

No PEB to water, gas U/S and fitted after branch pipework, without a clamp or warning notice.

Cables installed outside of the safe zones with no further mechanical protection.

Cables not clipped up.

Garage flu suspended by rope & fed via a mixture of bellwire & rubber-insulated, fabric-sheathed figure of eight cable with no cpc. (Granted he did not do this, but it was not flagged up with the client).

High EFLI on newly installed kitchen sockets (again, no RCD).

Reading 1.46 on a 30A BS3036.

A large portion of :shock: !!

Can somone say what this flu is and confirm it doesn\t mean flue ?
