I'm doing a loft conversion with PD, both my neighbours do not object to the construction - do I still need to do the written agreement and involve solicitors and surveyors?

Please advise!

You need to do the written agreement, signed by both affected neighbours. This is proof that they have no objections.
As long as they have no objections there shouldn't be any need for surveyors or solicitors.

Thank you but do I just write something myself that they do not object to the work being done and give them to sign it or is there a proper document for it?

If they both agree and understand what is occurring, then just go ahead and do the work without serving notice
