Hi.

We served the party wall notice to our neighbours for our loft conversion. The 14 days notice has just passed and we have not had a response. We have followed up with our neighbours and they have said they have been busy and will sign it when they get a chance.

From what I have read, now that 14 days has passed, we are deemed to be in dispute. We don't want to incur additional costs, and believe our neighbours probably will sign the agreement.

Can our neighbours sign the agreement even though more than 14 days has passed? Or are we now forced to involve party wall surveyors?

Thanks

you are only in dispute if they dispute it or ignore it. They have said they will sign it so just let them. It will be fine.
