Any better options for this skirting?

I've got a couple of access hatches in a stud wall where the oil pipe enters house, and condensate leaves it.... I had to set them this low to ensure future access..... But now I've chopped the skirting around them it looks rubbish.... Will be a bit better painted in, but still rubbish!

Any bright ideas?

I think you’ve made a good job of that, a little paint and no one will notice a thing.

Post a photo of the hatches open as there may be scope to raise them just enough to clear the skirts.

You should of mitred the edges.
