Good evening chaps,

Do any of you use airless sprayers? my question specifically would be you use it in a domestic environment or would it cloud the air with overspray and cover everything?

Cheers

I use an air assisted airless for spraying joinery. The volume of air is quite small and little overspray

Airless is the same technology but the pressure has to be high to atomise the whole fan pattern.

I've never sprayed domestically but I have looked at some pro guides on the internet.....mostly from USA.

From memory they tend to follow around with a roller to get the right finish.

You would need to mask anything you don't want paint on - the mist would get onto surfaces a distance away.

I expect you've seen the graco spray pumps for sale.

Parts are expensive for pump systems, you are talking about hydraulic levels of precision.

A professional graco would last many years - I've had a graco pump for over 10 years.

Thanks for the response, I just bought a GXFF as I thought I could use it for the fence as well as a few rooms in the house providing its all masked up and everything covered in drop cloths. I dabble a little in PU and lacquer for wood projects but thats HVLP.

From the youtube videos I see, it doesn't seem to cause clouds of overspray and bounceback? but wanted to be sure

I expect it to last a while as it will be rarely used.
