Paint Sprayer

Hi

I'm thinking of buying a paint sprayer and have been having a good read up. However, I can't seem to find out if the paint sprayers are OK to use on new plaster. Ie, for a mist coat.

With mist coats, you dilute the paint. But with the spray machines you dilute the paint for normal coverage. Would this mean you would 'heavily' dilute the paint in order to apply a mist coat?

I'm looking at a Wagner at Screwfix.
