Duracell ProCell are just one make that springs to my mind. Always replacing them in smokes fitted in student HMO's. I've got quite a canny collection of them now. Might even try re-wiring the house to run on 9 volt .
I'd have to look around - but, as I said, there are certainly some designed for very long-term term 'standby' service. I'll have a look and see what I can find. John
Assuming that you could manage with 9V and that 1.2 Ah would be adequate (ought to keep an LED and piezo sounder going for a good long time!), how about something like this?
