Title didn't come through correctly; should read Anyone ever used "Dial before you dig"/"National One Call"?

We're looking to get a set of plans for the property we're looking to buy, quickly, and have come across this organisation.

They have a free service where they tell you contact details, and you do your own chasing, or pay around £500 and they'll chase it all down for you.

Has anyone got any experience of them? Reputable? Consistent?

Thanks

or pay around £500 and they'll chase it all down for you.

Correction; pay them £99 plus the utility firms fees (which apparently are passed on with full disclosure) so, for an extra £99 it seems worth getting them to do it, but keen to hear of anyone's experience.

What do they actually do for the £99 though? I don't get it - maybe it's me being dumb but what do they actually do/give you for that £99?

This, apparently;

Our Retriever service delivers you a completed Enquiry Pack containing all plans, Not-Affected responses, copies of any invoices for asset owner charges and certification of the enquiry detailing the contacts that were made and the results of each contact. Delivery is 12 to 15 working days. Feedback from our clients tell us that they are delighted with our service and continue to use us and recommend us to colleagues, but that sometimes they require flexibility in how plans are delivered.

You select which contacts you require and we deliver the completed Planning Pack to you in 12 to 15 working days. We make the contacts, pay any charges and you get the utility plans, Not-Affected's, invoice copies & certificate.

Cost: £99 (Standard Site) + any utility charges

So it's really the sending of the applications, making sure the forms are correct, handling the invoices, etc.
May seem money for old rope but we've enough going on without having to figure out how to deal with a bunch of utility companies :confused:
