How to desolder them, what caps to use, cap types?
Your question is a bit vague to me.
Although, unlike resistors that get burnt out, a faulty cap is usually because the cap itself has gone faulty & replacing it generally cures the problem.
BTW, what cap has gone faulty & on what equipment?
