Appliance plumbing help please

Hi folks. New member here but sure I'll be coming back quite often!!

I am a wee bit confused about the best way to plumb in a new appliance.
In the below picture you can see the drain from under my sink. The currently connected appliance is a washing machine. I want to connect a dishwasher too but am not convinced just making another connection above the P section would work correctly?

My lingo / jargon isnt that great so any detailed help would be great! Thanks in advance

You can change the trap for a mcalpine WM11 then you can connect both appliances.

Would this set up be enough to handle both appliances and or the sink draining at once? Thanks for the quick response!

Yes thats just the same as most homes.
