I recently had to move my tumble dryer (which was previously working fine). When I put it back it worked for about 30 seconds and then stopped. After a bit of head scratching I realised that it had tripped the main fuse box and knocked all of the plugs out.

I re-set the fuse box but the same thing keeps happening. I have not got a clue what to do and any help would be appreciated.

is defo' the t'dryer as it has not happened since I unpluged it, and it was happening when it was the only thing pluged in.

No, not under warranty any more. I was hoping that someone would suggest it was something as simple as changing the plug or flex, but I am guessing that this is probably not the case?

It MIGHT be that when you moved the tumble drier the flexible cable was damaged. Or when you put it back the cable was trapped under the machine and squashed.

So check the flex for signs of damage. Crushed cable can be shorting between conductors even if the outer sheath is not cut or broken but just mishapen.
