Aqualisa Aquavalve 609 leaking

Happy new year all. I noticed a couple of days ago, that the shower valve had a dribble of water eminating from the base of the exterior flange, this dribble of water did not seem to be as a result of water running down the shower head of shower rail, does this sound like a failing mixer valve? and if so are they hard to replace ? TIA

SOmetimes just a O ring kit, sometimes a whole new cartridge.
Not always easy to do
