Aqualisa Quartz Digital shower now only lukewarm

My Aqualisa shower, which is probably about 8 years old now, worked fine until about a year ago. Now it is just lukewarm. The is a power pump in the attic which kicks in when I start the shower.

Is there anything I could try to fix this, or is it a case of replacing the unit or getting a plumber in? I notice there is a screw on the bottom of the unit. Should I unscrew it and take a peek inside?

Thanks for the link. I had already read that thread. I don't have a combi-boiler and it is a power shower rather than a gravity fed system. Also, the blue light doesn't continually flash like the OP. Instead, it flashes and then the flash rate slows down until it reaches the supposedly hottest temperature, since I have it turned up max. But that hottest temperature is just lukewarm, unlike how it used to be.

This company service and repair Aqualisa digital showers. Your problem may be with the controller or the processor. They may be able to advise which.
I have used the loan scheme several times for customers. You get a fully refurbished unit and send back the old one. You can either have your unit repaired and returned or just keep the loan unit.

But, it may just be due to blocked inlet strainer on the hot feed to the processor. Might be worth checking that first

I saw a "Aqualisa 910751 Button Shower Controller" on amazon for £115. It looks similar to my old one but not identical. I wonder if I bought that perhaps I could replace the old one. Maybe that is one for the customers services to tell me if it is compatible or not.

To check the blocked inlet strainer, is that a water pipe going into the controller and the strainer is located near the controller? Would I need to take the cover off the box or just turn the dials anticlockwise on that inlet pipe for hot?

Inlet strainers should be just behind the screw on connectors (can't remember for certain but that makes sense). Obvs turn water off at isolators beforehand.

I had a look but could not see any filters. I disconnected the hot water inlet pipe and looked down it. I expected to see a visible mesh on there but saw no such thing.

Phoned Aqualisa but they either want me to upgrade to a new system or spend about £500 to have someone come and repair. So, I was wondering if I should buy a new controller and see if that is the issue, fitting it myself.

Update: I replace the controller unit from the supplier recommended by @Elkato531. It only took 5 to 10 minutes. Now, I'm having my first hot showers in years! Aqualisa wanted to charge me £500 for a repair. The unit cost me £100. Feeling smug!

I used them to replace 4 units in one house. They were very good.
Plus, you can pay extra for an extended warranty of the unit they supply, if you so wish.
