My daughters moved into a house with a shower head fitted very low and it needs raising.

It's an old Aqualisa concealed mixer and head, can I remove the tiles, dig out the plaster, extend the pipe (15mm?), and make good?

See attached.

Cheers

You can, but digging concealed pipes out of a tiled wall is a messy job. Better go take it right down to the valve itself

A quicker job would be to unscrew the shower head from its socket and fit an elbow or a shower hose

I have a similar Aqualisa where an elbow comes out of the wall and there is a hose, rail and movable head

I remember I ordered the wall fitting from Aqualisa spares dept. IIRC it screwed in.

Very good mixer.
