Hi all.
I finally persuaded the local council to deal with the crumbly walls in the hall of my council flat. Unfortunately, their solution was to remove the architraves and directly overboard the old, uneven lath and plaster wall with plasterboard.
I told them that I would fit new architraves that I have had in storage for a while and they agreed.
As a consequence of their methods, there is a 5mm gap about 6inches long in a section of plasterboard where it meets the door opening. I am now concerned that the new architraves will not sit flush due to this bulge! - Any tips on what I can do here to fix/mask this problem?
Many Thanks, Scott
