Hi,

From what I have been reading on the forum, I need to upgrade the wiring for my 3 x 150 w security lights which are fed from the garage lighting circuit. I plan to use 3 x Ashley J501 16 Amp Downlighter Junction Boxes inside garage fed by 1.5mm t&e, with 1.5mm arctic flex between each box and each external light. The lights are currently wired with normal 1.5mm t & e, which I read deteriorates with the sun and cold. 8)

Does my plan sound ok :?:

Can you get arctic/suitable outdoor flex in white or is it ok to paint it :?:

Thanks again

Arctic flex is designed to remain flexible in the cold to allow it to be used safely as an extension lead on sites etc where it will be moved on a constant basis in the cold.

I would use some black flex, and would be happy to use .75 or 1mm for the final drop to the fittings.
