Not sure I follow. You want to tidy up your desktop by presumably removing some icons or shortcuts, but you're asking what ones to download with intent to tidy up. Adding more icons or shortcuts doesn't feel like tidying up to me

Icons that appear on your desktop usually are:

• Files
• Folders
• Shortcuts to folders
• Shortcuts to programs or applications

OK. I tend to use a particular icon for each file of a group, eg: anything to do with(say) sailing would have a marine type icon. I know they could all be re-located in a folder but I like it this way!

can't you just change the icon of the folder?

All I'm going to say is that anything for free (and even some paid for apps) off the internet is free for a reason. Spam, malware, viri, keyloggers, remote access etc etc. Go for it if you dare.
