Are JG Speedfit plastic 15mm stop valves suitable for mains?

Just fitted two of these(two mains coming into house), pipe sliced copper (so no burrs) each side, marked depth of insertion carefully on pipes (about 3cm), in a straight line, so no pull to the sides, and both are leaking on one side. It doesn't say not suitable for mains on the pack, but says OK for pressurised systems.....

JG technical help is messages only- great service. Any help gratefully received.

Yes they are good for mains - must be user error! Take them off and give em a rinse maybe? failing that replace them. Are you sure you pushed them on enough?

you sure its 15mm and not 1/2" ??

Thanks- quite right- user error- not 1/2 inch though! shouldn't have doubted the wonderful JG- washed them out, looks like grit in each one- just enough for tiny leaks.
