Just looking for some advice with this...

I am moving my basin out temporarily in the bathroom and I have disconnected the hot and cold feed for the taps. The pipes feeding the basin hot and cold are plastic pipes with the dimensions 15mm x 1.7mm and it’s PB type. I need to temporarily blank these off and have two JG speedfit 15mm stop ends and the 15mm pipe inserts to go with them (the ones with the two o-rings on them). The pipe inserts were a very snug fit on the pipe but I’m worried that because I’m not using it on JG pipe (which I have not got on my house setup) it’s more at risk of failing? I’m trying to source the actual stop ends for this brand of pipe but can’t find any reference to the company on the text on the side of the pipe all it says is ‘15mm x 1.7 PB Barrier pipe H&C water services and central heating class S’.

thanks for looking

All plastic pipe has the same external dimensions so any stop end will be fine

It's nothing to worry about and you will be fine using what you have , like you say it's only temporary anyway

thanks for that - I was getting concerned as it was pretty tight to get the insert in but I guess it’s better that way around than being too loose.

It is yes, nothing worse than having an impromptu indoor fountain!
