Assuming all parts are new:

- 15mm Copper pipe into JG speedfit (the twist lock ones)

or

- 15mm speedfit pipe into copper compression (assuming the correct insert).

I'm just wondering, since I have a choice, which will hold up best.

thanks,
S.

My vote would go for compression, but if I was doing the job I'd probably use Speedfit fittings. (Lazy barsteward.)

That's what I would have thought too. I actually connected the blue supply pipe to a copper compression fitting *without* any insert, and it didn't leak (put the insert in later once I figured out my mistake ), so it must be pretty secure. I guess the only problem is if you go overboard with the tightening and split the thing.

cheers,
S.

MDPE (blue supply pipe) is much thicker. I'd not be too bothered about inserts in that for reasons too long to go into. BUT! I'd never do a PEX or PB joint without a liner, compression or push-fit.
