I took out an old kitchen and am in the process of putting in a new one

the old kitchen had a recirculator extractor fan, it was not connected to ducting

I was thinking about not installing a recirculator extractor fan in the new kitchen because I think they are a complete waste of time, they dont get rid of high humidity from the kitchen , they just get rid of smells I think, and all our cooking is slow cooking, no Woks or stir frys

Any comments about extractor fans with no ducting ?

You seem to have identified all the problems with recirculating fans perfectly, personally I think they are a waste of time compared to a vented one. The extra effort involved in venting is always worthwhile, but the final deciscion is yours.
