Hi, I have this old shower (pic attached) and have a leak coming out from the bottom of the unit. I was thinking (hoping) it maybe a worn o ring issue?

Problem is, I have no idea how to get inside - any ideas? Also, if I can get inside do I need to shut the water off.....I take it thats the main supply from outside then run the taps until empty.

Thanks.

When you say "the bottom of the unit" I assume the pic is on its side, so you mean the hose connector at the bottom?

Have you checked that it isn't just the hose connector come loose? There is a washer inside the connector which may also have become hardened with age and easily replaceable.

Thanks for that, just seen the pic is on its side!

Actually, the leak is coming from the actual unit, so dripping from the bottom of the 'knob' you turn around.

Probably one or more of the seals in the cartridge. Looks quite old so spares may be hard to come by. You could try the Armitage Shanks web site.
