I've started removing this from the ceiling but someone told me that it could contain asbestos! I thought it was just some sort of textured paint, but seems it might be Artex. Could it be the more modern Polytex (so hopefully wouldn't contain asbestos) or is it likely to be Artex? Or is it just textured paint as I thought.
I'm using a sharp scraper to remove it and as you can see in the photos it does just scrape away but breaks into small peices as i'ts pretty thin. Be grateful for any help.
