Shortly to demolish a dividing stud wall between Kitchen and Dining room.

As the ceiling is Artexed and when the wall is removed, so the ceiling will need to be Artexed where the stud wall was.

Would they need to skim the whole ceiling and then re-artex or would they re-artex over the old. The greatest depth is approx 1.5 to 2mm and what sort of time scale should I allow in the Kitchen/Diner project for this to be done.

Thanks

Skim with plaster - forget the artex :x Allow a day with clear access to the floor so the spread/s can walk around on their stilts
