Asphalt only Vibrating plate??

Need a new vibrating plate and saw a decent dynapac one advertised second hand at a good price rather than buy new.

However on the model in question is called an asphalt plate and checking on the dynapac website it seems to only mention asphalt use? surely this could be used as a general plate for MOT/ hardcore too?

Anyone shed any light on this for me?
