Astra 1.7 TD (low blow) smoking badly

Anyone throw any light on this one? Starts fine, although lumpy, slight smoke out of exhaust, drive for about 1 min, dense blue smoke out of exhaust, but no loss of power. Drive for about 4-5 miles smoke clears and everything is fine. Please HELP!

Dense Blue smoke usually implies Oil in the cylinders, I would get it checked in a garage as it could be a simple gasket change or it could be the start of a serious problem that you can head off.

Sounds like a top end leak, seeping into comp chamber whilst not used. Do a compression test to test head gasket, if thats ok probably valve guide leak.
