I was at the checkout in Asda the other day. When the girl had nearly finished scanning my groceries, she looked up at me and said ''you're single aren't you?''

Amazed, I asked her if she could tell just by the goods that I was buying.

''No'', she said, ''it's because you're an ugly b'stard!''
