Hello,

I've got an Xpelair C4R in my bathroom ceiling, which vents to the outside world via a vented roof tile and some 100mm diameter flexible ducting.

The problem is, the ducting is so flexible that it presses on the flaps on the top side of the fan and prevent them from opening - I am planning on putting in a short length of inflexible ducting such that the flaps are unimpeded, however I was just wondering whether this is standard practice?

Thanks,

Ackoman

P.S. I think what is causing the ducting to press down onto the flaps is the weight of the loft insulation that is pressing against it
