Hi I have tilt and turn double glazed windows and would like to fix blinds to them. Blinds have been brought, but need to screw them to frame. tried screwdriver, and electric one, but no luck, just need to get the screw started, what do you suggest I go out and buy? Im a total newby with very few tools, all help would be appreciated.

If you want to fix your blinds to the actual opening part of the frame, just make sure that you drill nowhere near to the glass pane unit itself! The upvc window will have metal reinforcement behind it (aluminium) and you need to drill through the plastic and the aluminium with a small pilot drill - maybe 3mm or thereabouts - in order to accept a self tapping screw. These are hardened screws that cut their own way in - but a pilot hole is vital.
Maybe you could fix the blinds into the window reveal? This would necessitate plaster fixings more than likely and it could be awkward to open or close the windows but it could solve this dilemma! :)

I have stuck the fittings to the window surround using a product like "no more nails" hopefully when i put up the blind it will hold.

Hiya, I'm not sure if you have solved this one but I would use perfect fit blinds. They fit onto brackets which slip in behind the beading around your UPVC windows. If you google perfect fit blinds you'll get plenty of info and places to order them from.
