I've got some kingspan insulation board I'm trying to attach to the back of my loft hatch, I tried doubled sided carpet tape but it didn't stick to the back of the hatch (painted with gloss).
My next guess would be to screw some wood battens into the back of the hatch with the board sandwiched in the middle, but I'm wondering if there's a less destructive way to do it than this? The loft hatch isn't that thick to start with.
Thanks

They used to hang polystyrene tiles and that foil behind radiators with heavy duty wallpaper paste, should stick to the gloss as long as you make sure it is clean.

I did that to mine, I just used ordinary everyday woodscrews with a washer on to stop them going too far into the kingspan.
