Hello,

Sorry if this is the wrong place,

Im just purchasing a house which has had a damp course and re-plaster. My understanding is the re-plaster is two layers, first a water proof cement then a finishing plaster layer.

On these walls I intend to add some cable runs and socket boxes for communications (i.e TV - Tel - network - satellite).

My question is how do you attaches these (or anything) to walls which have had this treatment as presumably a screw and wall plug with breach the damp proofing, ideally I would want the cables hidden under the top layer of plaster,

Thanks,

Ash

JUst confirm first - this is for damp proofing not tanking/waterproofing

ie none of the wall is below ground level on the outside - no soil etc backed up against it over dpc level?
