Hi All

Just joined the fourm as i have a house previous owners have not looked after.

One of the projects is to get the front wall, window sill and frames bring back to life.

My questions are:

Wall: Is it just a case of chipping and sand down the paint, then seal and prime prior to painting? Also can i attack this now or have to wait till spring/summer?

Window sill: Is it the same as the above but filling the cracks?

Window frames: I imagine its sanding down and filling before primer and undercoat. However do i have to get all the paint off or just as much as possible?

Attached some
pics but can obviously attach more if needed.

Any help would be much appreciated

Pretty much as you suggest.

No point removing sound paint, just sand all over and try to feather rough edges.

Wood filler is good for imperfections on wood.

Pointless doing this work at this time of year, too much moisture about.

Wait for the Spring at least once everything has had time to dry out a bit.

@sparkwright Thanks for the reply and confirmation.

Do you recomend any good sealers/make of paints to use, or much or less all the same?
