back boiler - no heating/hot water

can anyone help

had to drain system down to take off a rad, so re-filled and now cant get any heating/hot water...pilot light is on

Assumed you have bled the rads, but did you bleed the pump?

yep bleed the rads and Im sure hubby has bleed the pump too...I do know its in a rather awkward position so tricky to get to the pump without taking all the rad/boiler housing off.....if he has done that already any ideas what else might be causing the problem

Does the boiler fire when you put on the hot water / central heating and then go out again after a short while? If so then the pump needs to be bled.

all sorted now and in fact it was me that spotted the problem so I do have to take credit for "fixing" it
